Laura Ashley was originally a British textile company founded in 1954 by an engineer called Bernard Ashley and his wife Laura. Over the next 69 years the brand has become a household name, not just in the UK but all across the world.

Laura Ashley worked as a secretary and in her spare-time created and designed tea towels, table mats, and napkins which her husband Bernard printed. This soon turned into more elaborate textiles including headbands & dresses and the brand Laura Ashley took off.

Laura Ashley really came into its own in the 80s due to the launch of the home furnishing division. Its success this can be attributed to its classical elegance in each design. Laura Ashley designs have really stood the test of time with their classic looks and are still as relevant today as back in their inception in the 80s.
